Emission Reduction Credits - Ventura County Air Pollution Control District
Air pollution sources in Ventura County are subject to the rules and regulations of the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District (VCAPCD). The District is part of the North Central Coast Air Basin. Ventura county is classified as nonattainment for California's ambient air quality standards for:
VCAPCD rules mandate that major new sources of NOx, reactive organic compounds (ROCs) (precurors to ozone), and PM10 secure emission offsets.
