Emission Reduction Credits - San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District

Air pollution sources in the eight county San Joaquin Valley are subject to the rules and regulations of the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD). SJVAPCD is classified as nonattainment for California's ambient air quality standards for:

• Ozone
• PM10

SJVAPCD rules mandate that major new sources of NOx, SOx, PM10, VOC, and CO at various trigger levels, secure emission offsets. Qualifying emission reductions can be banked for later use or sale.
