October 22nd, 2013 - BGC Continues its Expansion in the Energy Space

BGC Partners, Inc. continues to expand in the North American energy space. Following its announcement in May 2013, that eleven leading energy brokers, all formerly with Landmark Power Exchange, joined its growing Energy Practice based in Houston, BGC also announced in October 2013, the launch of its Energy Derivatives desk, and the appointments of Anup Patel and Paul Paftinos, who joined BGC to lead this initiative.

In addition to expanding BGC’s geographic footprint in North America, these additions to BGC’s existing energy practice and commodities brokerage business, underscore BGC's increasing ambitions in this space and strengthen BGC's ability to service its clients in a wide range of energy and energy-related markets.

July 24th, 2013 - BGC Environmental Brokerage Services’ Renewable Energy Certificate Offering Now Certified by Green-e Energy

San Francisco, CA (July 24, 2013)—Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) today announced that BGC Environmental Brokerage Services L.P., a fully owned subsidiary of BGC Partners, Inc., received Green-e certification for its new renewable energy certificate (REC) offering “BGC National Renewable Energy Basket.” The product is available for commercial and wholesale customers.
